Wow! December was two months ago! These are pictures of a sun dog that I saw in the sky on a -9 degree day last December. I meant to post then, but for some reason forgot about it. Sun dogs are formed similarly to a rainbow, except that sunlight is refracted through ice crystals instead of water droplets.
