Monday the twenty third I got braces on my top teeth. I am almost done with having them hurt.

Hello, Sarah,
I’ve been wondering all week how you were doing with the braces…only the top teeth? How bad was/is it?
Grandpa scouted in his corn field today to get an idea of the yield with this drought. In the middle of the field, the leaves are brown 3 feet up the plant. He estimates his crop at 1/3 of normal. The good insurance he bought will help with our expenses.
We have a 60% chance of rain Wed. night. If we get some, it might help the beans.
I worked an extra day this week.

I only got braces on my top teeth, on account of my top teeth now resting on my bottom teeth without the appliance. It did not hurt so bad if I made sure to take Advil.

Only a tenth of an inch. That is basically like a heavy dew as the needs of our maturing crops are great. Grandpa is very thankful that he has insurance to fall back on.
